Randall L. Sewell

RANDALL L. SEWELL was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and attended the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Finance. He then went on to the University of Oklahoma College of Law where he received his Juris Doctor in 1984, and was admitted to the Oklahoma bar that same year.

Mr. Sewell has jury tried 80-100 cases and has extensive experience representing clients in defense of medical malpractice claims, automotive and transportation defense, insurance litigation, general civil defense, and defense of legal malpractice matters.  Among his achievements, Mr. Sewell has been rated by his peers as a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Lawyer, selected by his peers to the Oklahoma Super Lawyers list each year from 2012 to 2022, and also as a “Top Attorney” by peers in 405 Magazine (June 2021). He also has been listed by Oklahoma Magazine as an “Outstanding Lawyer.”

Mr. Sewell is admitted to practice before all Oklahoma State and Federal Courts, 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.  He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.  For many years, he has been an active member of the Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel where he served as past Vice President.

Mr. Sewell has been married since 1986 to Kay, and has two adult daughters, Rainey and Kasey.
